Dr. Shu Huihao Elected Secretary General of CICPA

(Beijing, June 4, 2019) –On May 31, 2019, the CICPA Council meeting was held in Beijing. President Zhao Mingji presided over and addressed the meeting. 129 Council members attended the meeting at the CICPA headquarter office.

At the meeting, Dr. Shu Huihao was elected the Secretary General of CICPA. Previously, Dr. Shu was the Deputy Director-General of the Accounting Regulatory Department of Finance Ministry, PRC. From 1993, he had been involved in accounting standard setting and accounting sector oversight. He had also been the Chinese representative to the Intergovernmental Working Group of Experts on International Standards of Accounting and Reporting.

Dr. Shu thanked Dr. Chen Yugui, immediate past Secretary General, who will continue to hold office of the Executive Deputy President, and previous management teams of CICPA for their long term efforts for and contributions to the accounting profession. He calls on that, the accounting profession should continue to uphold the mission of serving the state construction and adhere to the professional values of integrity, so as to further promote high quality development of the profession.
